Oh golly gee!! Doggie clothes!!

Ein's (My Corgi) girlfriend, Butter, and her brother have a birthday coming up! So I decided to make Butter a dress and Quay (Butter's brother) a cute striped tank top. Heres the how to:

Butter's dress.

You will need:
Child's shirt in coordinating size to your dog
Tulle
Straight pins
Needle and thread
Sewing machine
Sharp scissors

Step1
Start by measuring your dog's girth. Butter is a little chubbier Corgi, so I went with a bigger size.
Pick out the right shirt. I chose a pink one with Princess on it.

Step 2
Cut shirt off, leaving a 3' strip of fabric.
Step 3
Cut your tulle. You wont need that much. Measure the length of the shirt and add 3 to the tulle length. The width of the Tulle is entirely up to you.

Step 4
Take tulle and begin gathering it with your needle and thread.

To gather
Take one end of tulle (long end) and place needle through the fabric, essentially squishing it up, and making it smaller and more poofy. Remember to knot the end of your thread so your gathers dont come undone.

Step 5
Place your new skirt up to the shirt, flip it inside out, and start to pin.

Step 6
Take your garment to your machine and stitch the two pieces together. Remember to back stitch!

Step 7
Take out pins and flip right side out. You now have a cute little dress :)

Now for Quay's tank top

You will need
Child's tshirt in your dogs size
Tailors chalk (regular chalk and even sidewalk chalk work just as well)
Sharp scissors

This is a really simple project with no sewing involved!

Step 1
Measure your dog as before and determine what size shirt he will wear.

Step 2
Lay shirt flat on hard surface (I used my bed since my chalk is soft and Im experienced, but if your a beginner I recommend a hard surface)
 Step 2
Flip shirt over and draw a gentle arc with your chalk

Step 3
Cut out arc carefully

Step4
Try on your dog and you are done :) The next set of photos are Ein modeling the shirt.
